About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Account Manager to join the Customer Success organization at Great Place To Work. This advanced-level individual contributor will manage a portfolio of high-value customers, serving as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about business development, excels at building deep relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, global SaaS environment. This role is responsible for driving customer retention, expansion, and long-term engagement by representing the full suite of Great Place To Work® solutions. The Sr. Account Manager will assess customer needs, understand evolving organizational cultures, and guide customers toward achieving or maintaining their Great Place To Work® Certification.
The Sr. Account Manager is a mentor to others, a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, self-managed team member who will role model our Great Place To Work Values and will develop and thrive around the “10 Ways to Build Your Success” at Great Place To Work.
Key Responsibilities
Own a portfolio of high value customers who are critically important to our business and increase the depth of relationships we have within their customer organization
Maintaining strategic relationships with executive stakeholders, multi-threading each customer opportunity to ensure we have multiple C suite contacts
Manage the commercial/contracting relationship with the customer??
Develop strong working relationships with Customer Success Managers and Culture Coaches to ensure alignment on success metrics??
Serve as a key liaison between the sales team and the customer, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the customer lifecycle
Hold and nurture the relationship with the decision maker from the point of closed-won through to contract renewal ensuring that they are experiencing the value of their investment throughout their time with Great Place To Work so that you are seen as their “go-to” person for all things Great Place To Work
Effectively communicate and highlight the return on investment (ROI) and the impact of the organization’s solutions (e.g., The Great Place To Work Effect) to executive stakeholders particularly in kick-off meetings and escalations with the customer.?
Coordinate internal handoffs from the Account Executive (for new logos) to ensure a thorough understanding of the original strategy and land-and-expand objectives.?
Review, manage and negotiate contract renewals and account expansion opportunities. Act as a problem solver for decision makers, fostering an environment where they feel comfortable reaching out for resolutions or sharing positive feedback.?
Ensure executive teams are exposed to key data insights with the goal of driving upsell opportunities. Facilitate executive leadership participation in culture coaching calls and strategy sessions to highlight valuable data.?
Identify, develop and execute strategic plan for each account focused on retention, long-term commitment, growth and executive relationships. Take ownership of upsell and resell opportunities, driving additional value for both the customer and the organization.?
Identify/Create opportunities for non-linear growth (sponsorship, consulting etc.) and find ways to highlight and showcase the customers work through summit focus session, podcasts, webinars etc.?
Required Qualifications
7-10 years in account management, sales, or business development roles, ideally in SaaS, HR tech, employee experience platforms, or related role with increasing experience.
Proven track record of exceeding quotas and goals.
Ability to manage a large, diverse portfolio with discipline and urgency.
Leverages broad business insight to shape strategies and deliver impactful solutions across diverse markets and organizational structures.
Preferred Qualifications
Effectively organizes and prioritizes tasks to oversee high-volume customer portfolios
Excellent communication, negotiation, executive presence, and presentation skills.
Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively.
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms such as Gong and Sales Navigator.

Sales Roles
Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for commissions and restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.?
