About the Position
Great Place To Work® is on the cusp of a brand transformation, and we’re looking for a bold, visionary leader to help us shape the future of leadership. As Brand Awareness and Social Director, you will architect and drive a storytelling strategy that reaches new audiences, especially among the C-suite, and positions Great Place To Work as the category-defining partner for building high-performing, fast growing organizations through effective leadership.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our executive personas and where they consume content, then build our presence across those channels using a mix of organic, paid, and earned media. You’ll help us move beyond selling employee engagement solutions to becoming a trusted advisor on leadership effectiveness and business impact. You’ll lead our first brand campaign, expand our reach on LinkedIn and beyond, and pilot new, easy-to-consume formats showcasing our credible research, proprietary data, and stories from happy customers.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with the autonomy to lead and the support to scale. You’ll collaborate deeply with product marketing, content, research, demand gen and creative teams, while owning the outcomes of the channels you lead. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, bring clarity to ambiguity, and know how to build audiences that move markets and drive revenue growth, this is your opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the strategy to rapidly grow our audience on LinkedIn with a focus on C-suite engagement, doubling our audience from 100,000 to 200,000 followers in 12 months.
Identify and strategically activate new channels (e.g., social networks, online forums, technology review sites) to expand brand visibility and reach. Lead the development and execution of our first brand campaign, ensuring it drives measurable audience growth, brand affinity, and ultimately commercial interest in Great Place To Work.
Build and lead our strategy for repurposing content from live and digital events, including real-time social amplification during the Great Place To Work For All Summit. Ensure content is optimized for virality, relevance, and resonance across platforms.
Deeply understand CEO and CHRO motivations, challenges, and aspirations. Translate these insights into content strategies that build trust, drive engagement, and position Great Place To Work as a strategic partner in leadership effectiveness.
Elevate internal voices by coaching and enabling team members to speak to executive-level topics. Foster a culture of storytelling and audience empathy across the marketing organization.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging, creative, and distribution strategies. Partner with product marketing, research, content, creative and demand gen team to ensure integrated and complementary strategies. Navigate ambiguity and conflicting priorities with clarity, urgency, and decisiveness.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in audience growth, brand marketing, or social strategy — preferably in B2B or SaaS environments with revenue-driving responsibilities.
Proven success in growing executive-level audiences on LinkedIn and other platforms.
Deep understanding of paid, organic, and earned media tactics.
Exceptional storytelling and content strategy skills.
Experience leading brand campaigns and cross-functional initiatives.
